UNDER-COUNTER FREEZERS

In modern laboratories and biobanks, the centralised storage of samples in cold rooms and freezers is increasingly becoming the standard solution. However, processing large quantities of samples can lead to time-consuming transport and handling processes between the laboratory and the storage facility.

 

An under-counter freezer offers an efficient solution by providing direct access to samples right at the point of use. This reduces the effort involved in handling samples and supports a more efficient workflow. Compared to benchtop freezers, an under-counter laboratory freezer does not take up valuable worktop space whilst remaining easily accessible, making it ideal for laboratories with limited space.

Nordic Lab offers under-counter laboratory freezers with a range of temperature settings. The ultra-low-temperature models (ULT) generally operate within a range of approximately −60 °C to −86 °C and are therefore suitable for the long-term storage of sensitive biological materials. In addition, the extra-low-temperature models (XLT) have a temperature range of −25 °C to −65 °C.
